Croatia’s Prime Minister View’s Croatia’s New Patria’s

Croatia’s Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor recently visited the Đuro Đaković military factory dedicated to creating / upgrading military vehicle’s for the Croatian MoD. During the 1980’s, the Đuro Đaković military factory was one of the principal producers of the M-84 Yugoslav Main Battle Tank.

At the factory’s test site, Kosor attended a practical demonstration of Croatia’s new Patria AMV 8X8 armored combat vehicle, which Đaković produces in cooperation with Finnish manufacturer Patria. Croatia hopes to field 126 units and with 84 units ordered in 2007 and an additional 42 in December of 2008. Due to Croatia’s military budget being cut, the order was slightly amended in April 2010 but all vehicles are expected to be delivered by late 2012.
